Exploring Lamphun 🇹🇭

Wat Phra That hariphunchai is a significant Buddhist temple located in Northern Thailand. The temple is renowned for its elegant Lanna-style architecture and its sacred chedi (stupa) believed to house relics of the Buddha. Wat Phra That Hariphunchai is an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists and attracts visitors from all over Thailand and beyond who come to pay their respects and admire its beauty.

One of the highlights is celebrating The Grand Lantern Festival which is held annually during Loy Krathong. You will see beautiful decorations with handmade paper craft lantern hanging around this temple.

Located in Ratchaburi, Wat Khanon Nang Yai Museum is considered to be a high-class Thai traditional entertainment. A shadow play performance or 'Nang Yai' has its root originating back to the Sukhothai Era. The performance combines complex artistic skills in handicrafts, music, theatre and orating. 

Wat Khanon still preserves the tradition with a regular Nang Yai performance on Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 am. 🇹🇭
