Thailand – Burma Railway Centre

Located next to Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (Don Rak), this museum has exhibits that tell the story of the Thailand – Burma railway, a 145-kilometer train track between Bang Pong in Thailand and Thanbuyuzayat in Myanmar that was built by POW’s during WWII. The educational exhibition includes information and photographs about the planning and construction processes of the railway as well as the geography, living condition in POW camps, health aspects, summary of deaths, operation, bombing and end of the railway, as well as aftermath of the war.
